LED floodlighting in St. Märgen in the High Black Forest

The new floodlighting system at SV St. Märgen was designed economically using just four 16 m masts. This eliminated the need for two additional masts, including their foundations and cabling, almost offsetting the additional cost of the LED floodlights.

No compromises were required in terms of lighting quality. On the contrary, the uniformity achieved, with an Eₕ,min / Eₕ,avg ratio of 0.7, is significantly better than would be possible with a standard metal-halide solution using six masts.

  1. Match lighting: 153 lux, maximum 12,400 W
  2. Training lighting: 76 lux at 50% dimming, approximately 6,200 W
  3. Half-pitch training: 76 lux, approximately 3,100 W
  4. Orientation lighting: 22 lux, approximately 1,860 W
  5. Uniformity: consistent Eₕ,min / Eₕ,avg ratio of 0.7 in all lighting modes
