AAA-LUX is already the market leader for LED floodlighting in Switzerland. As part of its new partnership with Swiss Tennis, the Swiss Tennis Arena in Biel was equipped with AAA-LUX lighting.

The newly illuminated AAA-LUX HD TV Swiss Tennis Arena in Biel was officially opened on 8 April 2017 during the WTA Ladies Open Biel tournament. As at the RTL Spiroudome in Belgium, which was equipped with AAA-LUX lighting in 2016 and is a preferred venue of the Belgian Tennis Federation, players and spectators in Switzerland were impressed by the excellent lighting quality and colour rendering.

The lighting makes it considerably easier to follow the ball, particularly at high speeds. The difference compared with conventional lighting is also clearly visible on television.

Variable dimming control enables energy-efficient operation tailored to different requirements, including amateur, professional and television lighting.

Background:

The Swiss Tennis Arena forms part of the Swiss Tennis National Performance Centre. It has produced many leading players over the years, including Roger Federer and Martina Hingis.
