Multi-sport outdoor facility with AAA-LUX LED floodlighting at TSC Eintracht Dortmund

TSC Eintracht Dortmund places great importance on energy efficiency and climate protection. In recognition of this commitment, KlimaExpo.NRW included the club in its state-wide showcase as a pioneer in climate action.

It was therefore clear from the outset that the club’s new multi-sport outdoor facility should feature flexible, smart LED lighting technology.

One important aesthetic requirement was to illuminate the entire facility using only four 18-metre masts, while still meeting all relevant lighting classes and specifications. The LED system also had to be dimmable to the prescribed levels for each lighting scene to achieve the maximum possible energy savings.

The new LED floodlighting system also had to comply with the limits for obtrusive light, particularly along the adjacent roads.

AAA-LUX was one of the few suppliers able to meet all these requirements.

Several playing areas were illuminated using 20 AAA-LUX LED floodlights fitted with glare shields and mounted on four 18-metre masts with angled crossarms.

A total of 12 lighting scenes were configured and can be controlled using the brand-new CB2 control system with touchscreen. The system can also be operated from local PCs, smartphones or tablets. The AAA-LUX software is permanently licence-free.
